Prior to the Cold War, everyone in America agreed that maintaining a large standing army in peacetime was both dangerous and excessively expensive. We should get back to that ethos. The 9-11 attacks gave our military-industrial complex the excuse it needed to keep the bloat going for another 20 unnecessary years.

Also, don't forget to cut the useless and dangerous CIA while we are getting rid of stuff.

Boy howdy, as long as we're cutting, can I nominate a few more? And how about the Dept of Defense going back to its original name = "War Department"? (just so folks know what its really for)

The correct geopolitical strategy would

have been to make friends with Russia to encircle their natural enemy China. Unfortunately the Democrats (or deep state if you prefer) prevented this with the Russian collusion lie.

Why is it that EVERY White country is FORCED to accept massive third-world immigration, assimilation, and why is it that ONLY White countries are FORCED to become multicultural?

Nobody asks that of any non-White country.

Multiculturalism is just a code word for White Genocide.

"White genocide" is just a code word for "I'm a neo-Nazi, but that doesn't sound PC enough".

North Korea will invade South Korea the second American boots leave the ground. Do we really want to send that message to the world immediately following Afghanistan?

That.... that's just not how that works, no.

Just discovered your site here ... don't necessarily agree with everything you've said, but extremely thought-provoking. Really well written, as well.

It's not "woke democracy", it's "woke fascism". In Afghanistan that meant female legislators who had never even been to the provinces they supposedly represented in a rubber stamp legislature giving 'legitimacy' to a thoroughly corrupt kleptocracy sucking up all the American money while soldiers went hungry. But, it all looked very 'enlightened' on paper.

They're not fascists, they're totalitarian communists. Stop blaming uncle Benito for Stalin's children.

We have no trouble cooperating with a country that is in the process of executing a genocide against some of its inhabitants, with forced abortions and re-education camps, that performs forced organ harvesting, that goes back on every deal it makes, and that wants to dominate us on the global stage. Our elites say nice things about them and it makes them money even while it makes the poor in this country poorer. None of that offends our principles. But if a country wants to have different roles for the genders, that's something we can't abide.

Really. The 10 countries ranked worst for gender equality are: Jordan, Sri Lanka, South Korea, Morocco, Egypt, Oman, India, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE. Shall we break off relations with all of them - some of whom are our geratest allies. Typical example of an ignorant buffoon.

I think you missed the point of my post. Otherwise I have no idea who you mean to be the ignorant buffoon. In any case, the West has a crusade against gender roles and expectations, even though 1) they are still OK in the West if they put responsibility on men only or privilege on women only, and 2) they are a natural part of a human society.

"One option to begin improving relations could be a joint negotiation with Japan after which Tokyo and Washington recognize Moscow’s sovereignty over Crimea in exchange for Russia " ----- In an attempt to stop China from taking over a neighboring country, Taiwan, we should recognize (approve of) Russia taking over part of their own neighbor? No.
