Hundreds of National Security Leaders Endorse Trump
From the senior-most Cabinet officials to others who worked to defend America throughout administrations from Nixon through Trump, there is overwhelming support for President Trump's reelection.
Please find enclosed a letter signed by hundreds of those who have worked in the field of national security from the Nixon through Trump administrations and who urge their fellow Americans to reelect Donald Trump as president.
The signatories include:
25 Cabinet or equivalent officials, including Mike Pompeo, Steve Mnuchin, Nikki Haley, Bill Barr, Ric Grenell, John Ratcliffe, John Poindexter, David Malpass and Ed Meese;
Family of the U.S. service members killed at Abbey Gate during the Fall of Kabul;
40 retired U.S. ambassadors;
Several hundred other former officials of the Nixon, Ford, Reagan, George H. W. Bush, George W. Bush, and Trump administrations; and
75 retired senior military officers
The letter was produced by former National Security Advisor Robert O’Brien and former NSC Chief of Staff Alex Gray. Press inquiries should be directed to Madeleine Westerhout (949-981-1807).
NATIONAL SECURITY & FOREIGN POLICY PROFESSIONALS FOR TRUMP
This year, the American people will make their voices heard at the ballot box. The 2024 presidential election comes at a critical time in world affairs. The policies of the Biden-Harris Administration have invited conflict, diminished America’s standing around the globe, and imperiled our national security. Over the last four years, peace throughout the world has been upended by America’s emboldened adversaries.
The Biden-Harris Administration’s foreign policy has been marked by repeated failures. From a world at peace under President Trump, we are closer to a third world war than ever before under the Biden-Harris Administration. With multiple escalating wars around the world, an open border that allows terrorists to flood into the American homeland, and malign actors like China operating unabated,
U.S. national security has been profoundly damaged by the failed policies of Kamala Harris and Joe Biden.
By contrast, the Presidency of Donald Trump focused on restoring peace throughout the world. This was supported by a strong American military and resolute international diplomacy. Though often confronted with fraught situations. President Trump time and time again, presented himself as a peacemaker.
In October 2019, President Trump, through tough personal diplomacy, forged a ceasefire agreement between Turkey and our Kurdish partners in Syria. In September 2020, at President Trump’s invitation to the Oval Office, Serbia and Kosovo signed an important economic normalization deal despite longstanding disagreements. President Trump’s defining moment as a peacemaker took place on the South Lawn of the White House on September 15, 2020, when the historic Abraham Accords were signed by Israel, the UAE, and Bahrain, bringing peace to the Middle East. The agreement was later joined by Morocco, expanding its impact.
When President Trump took office, the war in Afghanistan had dragged on for almost 16 years. By February 2020, a peace agreement was reached, ensuring no American soldier was killed in combat until the end of the Trump Administration. This agreement held strong because the Taliban understood President Trump’s resolve and U.S. forces were prepared to ensure their compliance. The botched withdrawal from Afghanistan under the Biden-Harris Administration in 2021, led to the unnecessary
deaths of thirteen brave American troops at Abbey Gate and left untold billions of dollars of high grade military equipment to the Taliban, making it the most well-armed terror organization in the world.
Securing peace is in the greatest tradition of American foreign policy and the Judeo-Christian principles upon which our nation was founded. In his Sermon on the Mount, Jesus said, “blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be sons of God.” (Matthew 5:9) Such is the legacy of the Trump Administration. For these reasons, we the undersigned individuals, endorse Donald J. Trump for President in 2024. Our nation is facing the most serious and grave threats it has faced in decades. A revival of American peace through strength coupled with a strategy that puts the American people first is necessary to restore peace and economic stability throughout the world.
